A traditional-method vintage sparkling wine from Yarra Yering’s dry-grown Yarra Valley vineyard. Blending 60% Pinot Meunier with 40% Chardonnay, it spent 80 months on lees before disgorgement, building remarkable texture and complexity around a bright line of cool-climate acidity.

Established by Dr Bailey Carrodus in 1969, Yarra Yering helped lead the modern revival of winemaking in the Yarra Valley. Its dry-grown vineyard at Gruyere is known for low yields, small-batch production and wines of precision and longevity. Winemaker Sarah Crowe joined the estate in 2013 and continues its balance of traditional techniques, thoughtful innovation and close attention to individual vineyard blocks.

Tasting Note

Pale straw with aromas of wet stone, fresh brioche and crisp apple. Bright orchard and citrus fruit run through the palate, joined by nougat and a fine chalky texture. Extended lees ageing brings depth and delicate bread-like complexity, while fresh acidity carries the wine into a clean, energetic finish.

Serve well chilled in a tulip or white-wine glass. An excellent match for oysters, prawns, sashimi, fried chicken, soft cheeses or celebratory drinking.
