Mallaluka is a small family operation based near Yass and led by winemaker Sam Leyshon. Drawing on experience at Clonakilla and in the Northern Rhône, Leyshon makes lo-fi, expressive wines with natural yeast, no fining or filtration, and a willingness to work beyond conventional regional boundaries.

Tasting Note

Blackberry and plum sit alongside dried herbs, pepper and earthy spice. The palate is juicy and medium-bodied, with Mataro’s savoury grip balanced by Shiraz fruit and a relaxed, barbecue-ready finish.

Pair with grilled meats, sausages, smoky vegetables or a casual grazing platter.
