The 2023 Reed Alexia Grenache comes from old, biodynamically farmed vines at Schlieb’s Garden Vineyard in Vine Vale. A low-yielding season produced concentrated fruit and more pronounced tannin, while wild fermentation and seasoned large-format French oak kept the wine transparent and site-focused.

Reed Wines is the small-batch label of winemaker Sierra Reed. Working with distinctive vineyards across Australia, Reed takes a light-handed approach in the cellar to make adventurous, expressive wines that reflect both site and vintage.

Tasting Note

Red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry sit alongside dried flowers, herbs and earthy spice. The palate is dry and concentrated yet finely drawn, with fresh acidity, savoury detail and a firm line of graceful tannin.

Pair with duck, roast pork, grilled mushrooms or hard cheese.
