Murdoch Hill is the Downer family’s Adelaide Hills estate, farmed by the family since 1939 and planted to vines in 1998. Chief winemaker Michael Downer returned to the property in 2012 after working in Australia and abroad, bringing a minimal-intervention approach centred on wild yeast, gentle extraction and regional clarity.

Tasting Note

Fresh red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry sit over dried herbs, gentle spice and a subtle forest-floor note. Lively acidity and fine tannins create a silky, refreshing palate, with restrained oak supporting a long red-fruited finish.

Pair with roast poultry, duck or mushroom risotto.
