The 2024 Sorrenberg Cabernet Blend is a biodynamically farmed, Bordeaux-inspired red from Beechworth. Led by 50% Cabernet Sauvignon with 20% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot and smaller portions of Petit Verdot, Malbec and Carménère, it combines generous fruit with freshness, fine structure and the potential to develop beautifully in bottle.

Sorrenberg is a small, family-run Beechworth estate established by Barry and Jan Morey in 1984. Its elevated vineyards are certified biodynamic, and the wines are made in limited quantities with natural fermentation, traditional cellar work and a close focus on balance, longevity and regional character.

Tasting Note

Blackcurrant and blackberry lead into white pepper, spice and subtle savoury detail. The palate is generous and beautifully balanced, with a rich mouthfeel, fine silky tannins and a long, composed finish.

Pair with roast lamb, grilled beef, mushrooms or mature hard cheese.
