The 2022 Farrawell Pinot Noir is a limited single-vineyard release from Lyons Will Estate’s oldest and most distinctive Pinot Noir block. Planted in 1996 at high elevation in the Macedon Ranges, the vineyard produces a precise, mineral-driven wine that balances vibrant red fruit with savoury depth and finely structured tannins.

Producer

Lyons Will Estate is a family-run vineyard and winery in Lancefield, led by winemakers and vignerons Oliver Rapson and Renata Morello. The elevated estate is managed sustainably, with every vineyard hand pruned and hand harvested. Native fermentation, minimal intervention and restrained oak are used to preserve the natural acidity and cool-climate character of the Macedon Ranges.

Tasting Note

Rhubarb, cranberry and bright red berries meet forest floor, dried herbs and subtle spice. The palate is supple yet focused, with fleshy red fruit, fine mineral tension, bright acidity and gently grippy tannins carrying the wine through a long, savoury finish.

Pair with duck, roast chicken, mushrooms or pork. A gentle decant will help it open now, while its structure should support further development in the cellar.

Australia-wide delivery is $20, or free when you spend $300 or more. Orders are dispatched five days a week, and local deliveries are handled by the Lennox Wine team.
