An estate-grown Gamay from Lyons Will's cool-climate vineyard at Lancefield in the Macedon Ranges. Half of the handpicked fruit underwent semi-carbonic maceration as whole bunches, while the remainder was destemmed and wild fermented in open vats. After four weeks on skins, the wine was pressed to old French oak for maturation before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Lyons Will Estate is a family-run vineyard and winery established by Renata Morello and Oliver Rapson at Lancefield in the Macedon Ranges. Working entirely with fruit grown within the estate, they combine sustainable vineyard management with hands-on, minimal-intervention winemaking.

Renata leads the estate's Gamay and Riesling production, drawing inspiration from the wines of Beaujolais and Burgundy. The approach prioritises healthy fruit, natural fermentation and wines that retain the freshness and natural acidity of the cool, elevated site.

Tasting Note

Cranberry, sour cherry and juicy blueberry are joined by rose petals, lavender, dried herbs and a subtle touch of orange rind and black tea. The palate is silky and energetic, with bright acidity, gentle tannins and a savoury, lightly spiced finish.

Serve lightly chilled with charcuterie, roast chicken, pork, grilled mushrooms, lentil dishes or a bowl of hot chips.

Free local delivery within 5km of Lennox Wine, with no minimum order.

Australia-wide delivery is $20, or free when you spend $300 or more. Orders are dispatched five days a week, and local deliveries are handled by the Lennox Wine team.
