A single-site Clare Valley Riesling from the steep, east-facing Harper & Dickson Vineyard. Whole bunches were foot-crushed before pressing, with the wine naturally fermented across Hungarian amphora, Austrian foudre and stainless steel. Extended lees contact and full malolactic fermentation bring texture and depth while preserving the vineyard’s bright mineral energy.

Vanguardist is a small, first-generation South Australian wine producer led by vigneron and winemaker Michael J. Corbett. Officially launched in South Australia in 2014, Vanguardist works closely with distinctive vineyard sites to produce small-batch wines that combine traditional methods with a modern, textural approach. The wines are handmade, bottled and labelled at the family’s Barossa Valley base.

Tasting Note

Brown lime, elderflower and honeycomb are carried by vivid mineral acidity. Extended lees contact gives the palate a creamy, gently rounded texture, balanced by a fine thread of tannin and a precise, refreshing finish.

Serve chilled with oysters, raw or lightly cooked seafood, roast pork, aromatic Southeast Asian dishes or fresh cheeses.
